As you can see we have a preponderance of bedrooms/odd rooms and nowhere near enough bathrooms for us all. The plan is to use the darkroom (so aptly named) and first floor kitchen together with the only existing bathroom for all our ablution requirements. I also rather like the idea of a freestanding bath in the loft room, to facilitate luxurious soaks in Jo Malone Roses away from little interlopers who are always popping themselves into the bath when they think you are not looking. Very cute the first time, passable the second but wearing incredibly thin by the third…

We were very lucky to buy some ex display items from www.smirk.co.uk for the bathrooms, including a Link Flaminia WC, so glorious that is does all but tell you that your bum does indeed look small in it. The rest of the bathroom items are proving more elusive, seen many lovely things but they are all the wrong side of the budgetary line. Still onwards and upwards there is still time to hunt them down….
